About OpenSeminar in ResearchEthics and its services
The OpenSeminar in Research Ethics (OSRE) online community is a free meeting place for anyone interested in discussing research ethics. OSRE's main purpose is to welcome the next generation of researchers into the community of scholars. Please join us. We also invite you to explore the accompanying graduate-level course, the OpenSeminar in Research Ethics.
It also is free. OSRE assists all new student members in finding at least two colleagues: 1) A Faculty Mentor -- ideally an instructor in your department -- who will provide guidance in the OSRE comunity by answering emails from you concerning issues in research ethics. 2) A Peer Mentor -- ideally a graduate student in your discipline -- who has completed the OpenSeminar course and will both discuss substantive research ethics questions with you and help you navigate through the course. If you complete the OSRE online course, you will receive a certificate and an invitation to serve as a peer mentor to other students.

We value your privacy and encourage you to review our policy. All members agree to abide by the most rigorous moral standards of online behavior. Of course, as a scholarly community, we look forward to discussing what those standards should be.
